Editorial Policy

Our editorial standards

FinCal Hub publishes original calculators, explainers and guides. We do not publish press releases, sponsored content disguised as articles, or automatically generated filler.

Accuracy & sourcing

  • Every factual claim about rates, slabs or rules links to or names the official source (CBDT, Ministry of Finance, RBI, EPFO, Department of Posts).
  • Articles show an original worked example with numbers you can reproduce.
  • When we state an opinion (e.g. “prepay vs invest”), we show the assumptions and the break-even point rather than asserting a universal answer.

Independence

Advertisers and affiliates never influence which calculators we build, the formulas we use, or the content of articles. If a piece is ever sponsored, it will be clearly labelled “Sponsored” at the top and kept separate from editorial content.

Corrections & updates

We correct errors promptly and note the correction at the bottom of the affected page. Rate-sensitive pages carry a “rules as of” date. Outdated articles are reviewed or retired rather than left to mislead.

Authorship

Articles are written by named contributors with relevant finance/accounting background. We do not invent author biographies or credentials; if a contributor is a CA/CFA/SEBI RIA, we say so and verify.
